Martin Winter

Prof. Martin Winter has been researching electrochemical energy storage and conversion for over 30 years. His focus is on the development of new materials and components for batteries, as well as the design of cells for supercapacitors, lithium-ion, and lithium-metal batteries. He has published more than 600 papers in journals, books, and conference proceedings and has filed approximately 70 patent applications (H-index 81). Among his more than 40 awards and recognitions, he holds the Carl Wagner Memorial Award from the Electrochemical Society (ECS) and the prestigious Braunschweig Research Award. Martin Winter is an honorary professor at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan Tech) in Taipei and at the National Cheng Kung University in Tainan (Taiwan).
