Marko TOPIČ

Professor Marko Topič received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 1996. Since 2006 he has been with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, as professor and head of the Laboratory of Photovoltaics and Optoelectronics. He is also an affiliate faculty professor at Colorado State University. Professor Topič has been the chair of the European Technology & Innovation Platform Photovoltaics for four mandates (2014-2022). Internationally he serves as the Slovenian representative on the European Scientific Advisors Forum. In the 7th Framework Programme (2008-2012), he served as a member of the Advisory Group on Energy. In Slovenia, he was the President of the Scientific Council of the Slovenian Research Agency (mandate 2015-2020). He is also a member of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts and a member of the International Academy of Engineering.
