Tatjana ISAKOVIĆ

Tatjana Isaković works in the field of building structures, with a particular focus on their seismic safety. Her work includes both theoretical and experimental research. The research work she and her colleagues have carried out has had many practical results. Procedures for the design and seismic response assessment of reinforced concrete precast concrete halls have become part of two new ISO standards, and in the field of seismic design of reinforced concrete bridges and walls they are included in the second generation of common European Eurocode standards for the design of building structures. It has been very actively involved in the introduction of the first generation of these standards into design practice in Slovenia. She has also put her knowledge into practice through successful professional and pedagogical work. Together with her colleagues, she developed a new device for seismic protection of concrete façade panels, namely seismic restraints made of high-performance synthetic materials. She is the Chair of the Department of Structures and Earthquake Engineering at UL FGG.
