Michael Stöcker
Dr. Michael Stöcker has research experience in the fields of organic chemistry, catalysis, and spectroscopy, particularly in zeolites, microporous and mesoporous materials, NMR spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, as well as heterogeneous catalysis, particularly in oil refining, bio-refining, and petrochemistry. His work has significantly contributed to a better understanding of the role of heterogeneous catalysis in the sustainable production of biofuels and other biochemicals, benefiting the industrial companies with which he collaborates or has collaborated. Additionally, he is highly regarded as an experienced researcher in heterogeneous catalysis and zeolite material science in general.
In addition to his outstanding achievements in heterogeneous catalysis and industrially relevant hydrocarbon conversions, Dr. Stöcker has also held other demanding roles within the scientific community. These include being a member of the "International Advisory Board" for international scientific conferences on zeolites, serving as a reviewer for top scientific journals, and being a member of several important evaluation committees (Swedish Institute Excellence Centres, DECHEMA, DFG, IUPAC, European Research Council (ERC) Starting and Consolidator Grant applications), as well as a reviewer for projects for the Slovenian ARRS.
