Marko MUNIH

Marko Munih has been the head of the Robotics Laboratory at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, UL for the last twenty years. In his post-graduation period, he has conducted research in the field of functional electrical stimulation of the lower limbs with surface electrodes, measurements, control, biomechanics and electrical circuits. The content of a visiting fellowship at UCL, London was unsupported standing for paraplegics as well as the development of an implanted small-noise amplifier for ENG signals. Since 1998, one of the focuses of research has been robot-environment contact and the use of haptic robots in combination with virtual reality. He and his collaborators have established an international reputation with original achievements in the field of rehabilitation robotics and psychophysiological bio-operative looping. Recently, non-contact kinematics measurement with Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) has gained prominence. Industry-specific robotic applications in construction, robotic manipulation and measurement tasks involving laser-based dimensioning technology have been implemented.
